Grants Pass High School Theatre Presents: “HONK! Jr”

Grants Pass High School’s Theatre Department proudly presents its Fall Musical, “HONK! Jr”, a delightful and heartwarming adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling. This colorful, family-friendly show follows Ugly, an odd-looking duckling who learns that being different can be beautiful. With themes of diversity, bravery, and self-acceptance, “HONK! Jr” is perfect for audiences of all ages!

The production is Directed and Choreographed by Erica Bury, with Katie Jarvis Shomler as Music Director, Wayd Drake as Technical Director and Set Designer, Lucia Perkins as Costume Designer, Connor Moore as Student Lighting Designer, and Clara Bury as Stage Manager.

Featuring over 40 students from GPHS Thespian Troupe 2354 and 10 students from South Middle School’s Junior Thespian Troupe — plus crew members from North Middle School — the show highlights incredible young talent across the district.

Family Day Activities: 9:30 AM – Games, crafts, and a petting zoo by Farm Life (free with show ticket; cash for snacks and pony rides).
Sensory-Friendly Performance: 11:30 AM – A comfortable show experience with reduced sound levels and soft lighting.
